A ceremonial signing event calling for accelerated action toward completing the St. Johns River to the Sea Loop occurred in September at the Castillo de San Marcos. Five county governments of St. Johns, Flagler, Volusia, Brevard and Putnam have agreed to work toward completion of a 260 mile greenway trails loop. The Conquistadors to Astronauts loop event had memoranda flown into space with highlights launching wildflower tourism in Florida.
